For the past 6 months this ultrasound photo was my facebook profile photo. I'm not on facebook much anymore, but the photo is still precious to me. All the praying and planning and filing and signing and mailing feels like I have carried this child close to my heart long before I could see her.
Invaluable to us along this adoption journey, have been those individuals who continually were reminding us that they were praying for us. Wolfgang Schaeffer and his Ironfist Taekwondo Club will have their story and picture permanently a part of our daughter's lifebook. They share in the eternal credit of one less orphan today, as do many family and friends who asked how they could help support our journey.
Back in November 2013, as I was praying into our adoption, I made a faith-filled request of God. I knew something important needed to happen that night regarding our adopted child, but wasn't sure what. I thought maybe we'd get a miracle call about a little child through our Canadian agency, or maybe that would be her birth month.
Time passed, and we moved to Missouri in July of 2014. We began our adoption process on July 15 with All Blessings International. On Tuesday, February 10th I saw this beautiful little face for the first time:
As we reviewed our little girl's file I saw that she had been hospitalized at the time I was praying in faith for her November 2013. She was being tested for everything imaginable, and was ill with a bronchial cough/infection. Whatever she was hospitalized for, she was in for several weeks, and then made a full recovery.
We are over the moon with joy, and now more impatient than ever to bring our daughter home.
We would like to introduce
Emersyn Mingxin Faith
